Ston City

Ston offers an unique environment as a town with the second longest stone wall in the world (5,5 km), with narrow quiet streets, noble ancient houses and with traces of ancient cultures. History of this Medieval little town reaches back as far as the 14th century. Its former value as a „salt city“ gets confirmed even today in the plants of the oldest active salt-works in the world. Ston is a little fishing city, known for the best seafood in Croatia. Ston bay is famous for oysters and mussel beds.

Beautiful little bay on the northern shore of the island, Okuklje is a popular summer destination for visitors to Mljet. The bay is also a popular anchorage spot for sailors as a safe haven (in case of bad weather) on their way along the coast to Dubrovnik. Facing Croatian Mainland, this relaxed seaside small and quiet village offers several holiday houses and apartments, a couple of restaurants and cafes. A lot of good swimming spots to enjoy the clear waters. Hills around the bay are excellent hiking location offering great views over the channel.

Elaphite Islands

The Elafiti islands are an archipelago situated close to Dubrovnik. There are actually six islands in the archipelago, not including any small islets, although the three main ones to visit and stay on are Koločep, Lopud and Šipan. Two of the three islands, Koločep and Lopud, are entirely car-free. To give you an idea of just how small and quiet they are – in total, the three main islands have a population of less than 1,000 people.
